1. How do you ensure that the color & brightness of a photo on the 'puter match what will be printed (not printed at home)?

2. How can I find a professional quality printing business to print my photos?

Hi Season. I loved loved loved my newborn session with you so much that shortly after my bought me a nice digital SLR for me to play around with while the kiddos are still small (many many brownie points there!). I have the standard consumer level Nikon D40 with an 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens, with maximum aperture ranges of about 3.5-5.6. I love the effect of a wide open aperture when photographing little ones, especially when you can focus on little toes or hands and have the rest of the subject fade out. Here's my question. Having a consumer level digital slr, is there any point in me investing in a lens that I can set at its minimum throughout the range of the lens? (does that make sense - something I can set at say 2.8 throughout?). Or is my more basic camera not going to give me the quality that would make it worth having a lens like that? Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

I am so excited to see that you use a Nikon D200 since I bought one this week!! In this world of Canon's it can feel impossible to compete! I just love your work and would love to be able to do so well someday. Currently it it just a hobby for me that makes enough $$ to cover the costs of the hobby. My husband is deployed and I have 6 children under the age of 10, so there is not too much time for a business, but that is o.k., because I have so much to learn first! I have a couple of questions for you if you do not mind.

What is the lens you use most often?

Do you take your pictures in srgb or Adobe rgb?

Do you run actions on your pictures afterwards?

Love your work. I love to take candid pictures of kids, especially my grandkids. My question is sometimes I need to pose the kids how do you learn to pose?
